1st<\/sup> day: Arusha \u2013 Tarangire National Park \u2013 Karatu<\/strong>
Arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport, customs check, baggage claim. Welcome by your driver\/guide and short briefing. Early in the morning departure for the Tarangire National Park. All day trip in the Park, considered as one of the most beautiful refuges of wild life in the country. It covers an area of 1770,86 square miles and is renowned for its concentration of wild animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many animals can be seen in the Park that would not be found in other Parks like the small kudu, the oryx, the elk, and the most famous antelope, the great Kudu. In this Park we find the highest density of baobabs in the world. The very numerous elephants cut the bark of these mythical trees to quench their thirst. They are indeed real water pumps. Overnight in Karatu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd<\/sup> day: Karatu \u2013 Ngorongoro Crater<\/strong>
Breakfast at the hotel then departure for the Ngorongoro crater, considered by some as the 8th wonder of the world. The crater, caldera to be more precise, is 20 km in diameter and shelters in its center an incredibly rich fauna perfectly protected by a 600 meters high rampart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will live exceptional moments in the middle of all the big mammals of East Africa (elephants, lions, rhinoceroses…) in a grandiose site. In the middle of the crater is a large lake formed by the rains that pour into the bowl of the crater masses of water sometimes important. We can see hippos basking in the lake while the buffalos relax in the mud. Second night in Karatu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd<\/sup> day: Karatu \u2013 Datogas and Hazabe tribes \u2013 Maasai village<\/strong>
You\u2019ll leave early in the morning to visit the Hazabe and Datogas tribes. These are two tribes of hunter-gatherers who shoot with a bow and arrow in front of you before lighting a fire without matches to roast the animal they have just killed. They will show you too how to find and drink water one meter deep in the earth purified by the sand through which it flows. You\u2019ll learn how to shoot with a bow and arrow and you will dance with them. In the afternoon you\u2019ll leave for the Maasa\u00ef village. You\u2019ll get a closer look at their every day life: where and how they live, what they eat, how they care for the animals, and maybe the most interesting: you\u2019ll learn to recognize some herbs and plants and how to prepare ointments according to traditional medicine. You\u2019ll stay there for supper and overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th<\/sup> day: Maasai village \u2013 Arusha<\/strong>
First, you\u2019ll enjoy spending more time with the Maasa\u00ef, before you\u2019ll return completely amazed and disoriented by these ancestral customs. Way back to Arusha during the day for a return to Europe or to extend the stay in Zanzibar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
